LEDs 'can boost colours in kitchen designs'
A minimalist kitchen design scheme
can be enhanced through the used of LED lights, statements from a
specialist have indicated.
Dulux colour and design manager Rebecca Thompson declared that
this illumination works "really nicely" in kitchens designs and
with shelving.
However, she noted sometimes the feature "can appear stark",
pointing out the effect depends on the kind of look the decorator
intends to create.
LEDs can be particularly effective if a room has the furniture
required to make the space appear cooler, the expert added.
Colours look different when they are under synthetic and
artificial lights than they do in the daylight, Ms Thompson pointed
out.
Although many people are fine selecting the tones to put in a
bespoke kitchen design, she stated that deciding upon hues can be
"quite scary" for some individuals.
This is "particularly when it comes to adding one colour to
another and scheming", the expert added.
Dulux suggests that colours in modern kitchen designs
should be "like seasoning".
"Small amounts of spice add interest but less is more," the firm
advises.
